New Reading Vision Inlay Now Available at Schneider LASIK
A Better Alternative to Reading Glasses
The condition is known as Presbyopia… and it eventually happens to everyone. The first sign of Presbyopia is the sudden inability to see up close. And then the sudden need for reading glasses! Even for people who’ve never worn any type of prescription glasses, the sudden need for reading glasses (also known as Cheaters, Granny Glasses, Readers) can be frustrating.
Presbyopia is simply a natural part of our eyes vision system and normally occurs in our 40s and 50s. It is the eyes’ inability to help us focus at near. Things like reading a text message, seeing the time on our watch, glancing at a dinner menu in dimly lit restaurants, reading prescription bottles or menus…all become difficult – if not impossible – without reading glasses. Fortunately, there’s an innovative solution for presbyopia that just might be the perfect answer to your reading glasses frustration.
So, if reading glasses are making you look older than you feel – or if you’re just tired of trying to remember to have a pair of reading glasses everywhere you go – then you might be a candidate for our Raindrop Near Vision Inlay.
A simple – FREE – consultation can quickly tell us if you’re a candidate for Raindrop®, so call our offices today at 951-737-6402 to see if we can restore your near vision.
How Does The Raindrop® Near Vision Inlay Work?
The Raindrop® Near Vision Inlay is a tiny 2 mm implant made of a soft, transparent material called hydrogel and is very similar to the properties and water content that make up the cornea (the clear outer surface of your eye). The inlay is carefully placed in the cornea of your non-dominant eye and improves near vision by gently changing the curvature of the eye.
If you don’t know which one of your eyes is your non-dominant eye, we can perform a quick test here in our office to confirm your dominant and non-dominant eye.
Our Raindrop® procedure is approved by the FDA and is actually the world’s first inlay to change the shape of the cornea. It was created by InVision Optics and takes only a few minutes to perform here in the comfort and convenience of our state-of-the-art laser suite at Schneider LASIK. Please contact our office to schedule your appointment.
