Dr. Vuong’s journey to optometry was sparked by a life-altering event car accident that was caused by her limited eyesight. This incident not only shaped her career but also ignited her passion for the preservation and improvement of sight, making her a compassionate and dedicated optometrist.
Dr. Connie Chi Vuong’s academic journey began at California State University, San Bernardino, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts. She then honed her skills and knowledge at Pacific University , specializing in Specialty Contact Lenses and Vision Therapy.
Upon graduation, she worked at a Lasik and Cataract Surgical Center, performing pre- and post-surgery examinations. Simultaneously, she was the attending optometrist at a nursing home, caring for geriatric patients and young nearsighted children at her private practice in Orange County.
Since 2011, Dr. Vuong has appeared on local radio and TV stations, educating the Vietnamese communities on the importance of eye health maintenance and disease prevention. She has also published two books on the topic of preserving and preventing the rise of the epidemic of nearsightedness in children.
For more than twenty years, Dr. Vuong enjoyed all aspects of her optometric career, having seen patients of all ages.
When not in the office, Dr. Vuong reads, swims, and spends precious time with her husband and two children.
